Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange an oven rack in the top third of the oven.
- Step 2: Mix the softened butter with parsley, garlic, and salt in a small bowl.
- Step 3: Slice the bread in half lengthwise using a serrated knife and spread the garlic butter on the cut sides.
- Step 4: Place the bread, cut side up, on the baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes.
- Step 5: Turn on the broiler and broil the bread for 2 to 5 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crisp.
- Step 6: Remove from oven, sprinkle with Parmesan, additional parsley, flaky sea salt, and red pepper flakes if desired. Slice and serve hot.
